How can field workers fill in Salesforce forms without an internet connection?
Use a mobile forms app that saves each entry on the device and sends it to Salesforce when the signal comes back. With Formyoula, field workers fill in forms on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac or Windows devices with no internet connection. When the device reconnects, each entry creates or updates the right Salesforce records, including photos and signatures, and workers don't need their own Salesforce licence.
How it works
- Build the form. In Formyoula, drag fields onto a form. Connect it to Salesforce, pick the object it writes to (standard or custom, such as Lead, Case, Account or your own inspection object), and map each form field to a Salesforce field. Salesforce field types and required fields are resolved automatically.
- Install the app. Workers sign in to the Formyoula app on iPhone and iPad or Android. Mac and Windows devices are supported too, and there is a web app for desktop and mobile browsers.
- Fill in forms with no signal. The app doesn't need cellular or Wi-Fi coverage and is fully functional offline. Workers can:
- search for existing Salesforce records, online or offline
- open forms pre-filled with information from Salesforce
- add photos, signatures and sketches without switching apps
- tag the location where the form was submitted, mapped to Salesforce GEO fields
- Sync to Salesforce. Entries are stored on the device and submitted to Salesforce when the device connects to the internet. Formyoula then creates or updates the records:
- One form can create any number of related records, for example a new Account, several Contacts, an Opportunity and a follow-up Task.
- You control the order records are created in, so new records link to each other.
- Photos and signatures are saved as Chatter files, attachments or documents.
- You can also attach the form entry as a PDF to the Salesforce record.
Data is captured securely offline and sent to Salesforce over an encrypted connection. All your data is stored on Salesforce.
Common field problems and how Formyoula handles them
| Problem in the field | How Formyoula handles it |
|---|---|
| No signal on site, so forms can't be submitted | The app works fully offline. Entries are stored on the device and submitted when it reconnects. |
| Workers need to see existing records with no signal | Search Salesforce records online and offline, and pre-fill forms from Salesforce. |
| Photos and signatures end up in a separate app | Capture photos, signatures and sketches inside the form. They're saved to the Salesforce record. |
| Contractors or event staff don't have Salesforce licences | Formyoula works for Salesforce and non-Salesforce users. |
| Data gets typed in twice from paper | Each entry creates or updates Salesforce records directly, including related records. |
Who it's for
- Field service and support staff who log cases and updates on the go.
- Inspection and site teams who fill in checklists on standard or custom Salesforce objects.
- Event and trade-show staff who capture leads and contacts with no Wi-Fi.
- Teams that dispatch work: assign jobs and records to users with Salesforce select lists.
- People without Salesforce licences, such as contractors and partners. Formyoula works with any Salesforce licence, including partner licences, and with users who have none.
- Kiosks and shared devices: build branded forms for kiosk stands.
“On a Friday morning, I was told that I had to deploy an offline capable iPad form for an event the next day. … 30 minutes after signing up, I had my first form built and was pushing data from my iPad directly into a custom object on salesforce.com. Fast forward 3 months and we are now capturing over 5,000 leads a week with over 100 users.”

Already using Salesforce Field Service?
Salesforce's own Data Capture forms run inside the Field Service Mobile app, are built in Flow Builder, and work offline. That app needs Field Service in your org, and each user needs a Field Service Technician licence. Formyoula is an option when your form users don't have those licences, or when the forms aren't tied to work orders, for example leads at events, cases, surveys or inspections on any object.
FAQ
Does Formyoula work with no internet connection?
Yes. The iOS and Android apps don't need cellular or Wi-Fi coverage and are fully functional offline. Entries are stored on the device and submitted to your Salesforce account when the device connects to the internet again.
Do field workers need a Salesforce licence?
No. Formyoula works for Salesforce and non-Salesforce users, and with any Salesforce licence, including partner licences. Each person who captures entries needs a Formyoula licence, and the form owner needs a Salesforce licence.
Can workers look up existing Salesforce records while offline?
Yes. Workers can search for Salesforce records online and offline. Forms can also be pre-filled with information from Salesforce.
Can workers capture photos and signatures offline and save them to Salesforce?
Yes. Workers add photos, signatures and sketches inside the form, even with no connection. When the entry syncs, the files are saved in Salesforce as Chatter files, attachments or documents.
Can I capture trade-show leads offline and get them into Salesforce?
Yes. Build a form mapped to the Lead object. Staff fill it in on a phone or tablet with no Wi-Fi, and the new Lead record is created in Salesforce when the device gets its connection back. Staff don't need Salesforce licences.
